A great business portrait creates a personal connection between you and your client. It shows your competence and confidence. It demonstrates you are open for business and eager to help your clients reach their goals. I do make sure my lighting and perspective makes you look fresh and positive. My real edge, however, is that I make you relax in front of my camera and give you helpful feedback and encouragement. Actually, I am quite convinced that you will actually enjoy the portrait shoot. All this will ineviteably yiel excellent results. I mainly focus on three aspects:

Your attire gives your clients important clues about your professional role and standing. In general terms I advise my portrait clients to wear whatever they would wear for an important client meeting. You should not wear anything that "isn't you", however you might think twice before you completely go against typical expectations of what a doctor, a psychotherapist or a construction supervisor looks like. Nonetheless, if you are certified public accountant and a Harley Davidson enthusiast at heart and you want to work with business owners in this scene, please do bring your leather jacket. Also have a suit that looks cool? Bring this too. Just in case...

Bespoke lighting which makes you look great

Not all heads look alike. I make sure my lighting is a perfect fit for your type and makes you look fresh and radiant. The right lighting helps to tell your story. If your profession is all about caring for others, friendly, soft lighting without too much drama is the right approach. If your role is rather about helping your clients with precision and technical excellence, we might go with a light that is more detail and shaddows.

Camera coaching to boost your confidence

Most of my clients are not professional models and truely no-one is always happy with all of their looks. This tends to cause some initial insecurities which I help you overcome rapidly. Once the light is perfect, I begin to coach you how to stand with confidence and show your best side to the camera. Subtle hints about mimics and gesture work wonders. Together we will review the results every couple of minutes on the big screen. You will be suprised of how good your portraits look at an early stage. This will give you even more confidence and ecouragement so that the next images will be even better. God forbid, you might actually begin to enjoy the process and have a bit of fun. Trust me, this will show in your portraits. They will turn out really well.
